Long time no see, and thank you

Post by shaxper »

Hey folks!

I wonder how many of you have even been around long enough to remember me, though I see quite a few familiar usernames in the forum!

I've been away for a very long time now, basically after having a second child, on top of being a full time teacher, ate up any remaining free time for me to stay abreast of all that is Usagi. I haven't even pulled out the back issues in several years (gasp!). Life's been great to me, but I've been a very bad Dojo member.

I guess keeping up on all that's been happening with Stan's family on facebook as of late has put the Dojo back in the forefront of my mind. I miss you guys and wanted to stop in to say "Hi!" I need to do so more often.

More importantly, though, I want to thank all of you who have been so diligently supporting Stan and rallying other fans into supporting him in this time of need, both emotionally and financially. Steve, Todd, Mayhem, Maka, roel, and anyone else I may have inadvertently missed (or who I don't know from "the old days"), thank you for all you've done for Stan and for this community. He so definitely deserves it.

See some of you at Motor City Comicon this May?
(I don't think I'll ever get over the embarrassment of having Stan stuck there with us while they worked out the check at the Cherry Blossum all those years back!!)

Dang, Jeff, I hadn't realized that you had been absent that much. I guess it must be because I have been reading your posts over on the CBR forums regularly. That "Usagi Yojimbo from the beginning" thread has been an interesting read.... :)

Nice seeing you back here.

hey, thanks for the link.unfortunatelly I don't have the time to read all of this in one gulp right now, but what I read was fairly interesting to me and I am eager to go back later and read the rest of it.
hey, jeff, I don't know if I was a member of the dojo when you were a more frequent visitor here, I think I joined sometime in 2008.but it's certainly nice to 'meet' you this way.;)
I enjoy the dojo very much, too and like yourself have been absent I think for too long now.you know that feeling when you realize an urge inside you that must have been there all along but you just began to listen for its cry?thats how i feel these days about returning more often to the dojo;)...I cannot wait to see the adventures that lie ahead for our ronin rabbit and just pray everyday that the sakai family is blessed with a harsh upwind very soon.I guess all the love, the wishes and simply the attention brought fourth through the internet is a warm soothing support and I hope that all these wishes amount to something really beautiful in store for stan, sharon, mathew and hannah and the rest of his close family.
greetings
marcel
