General readers rating on the cover
Hey Joe,
The comic book's cover says "General readers" so go for it!
The book also includes a very nice history of Albedo.
Best wishes to all.

Erma Felna's Albedo Anthroporphics Vol 5 Nr 1
Joe,
I just picked up Erma Felna latest adventure not too long ago and loved it. Gallacci continues his story right where he left off years ago. The most frustrating thing about being an Albedo fan is that it could be years before the next issue. The good thing is that it has a smart and unqiue story line and with plenty of time between issues to collect the issues you have missed. You may find it a challenge to find Albedo vol5 Nr1 at your local comics shop. Mr. Gallacci told me that only 1800 copies were shipped nation wide. Copies are available from Shanda Fantasy Arts direct at www.shandafantasyarts.net or on ebay. Back issues are still fairly cheap (except the Usagi issues Vol1 Nr2,3,4) and can be found at a couple of sites www.milehighcomics.com and www.comicvendor.com. I only really got interested in Erma's stories about four months ago even though I had picked up a few issues 15 years ago. A good place to start would be Command Review #1-4 these books compile four comics into each issue and is about the only way to get the early stories. Command Review #1 & 2 are on ebay right now.
I hope you get in to Albedo.
PM me with your mailing address and I'll send you Albedo Vol5 Nr1 for free as Shanda sent me two copies by mistake.

OH WOW HOLY COW THAT REMINDS ME!
A couple of weeks ago Shanda the Panda got a news segment here in Cedar Rapids (Rabbits) and even in the gazzette! It was nice to see someone so talented recognized for once! Know what I mean? Come to think of it, it was something terribly important but I forgot why it was in the paper.
I guess as long as no one died or lost a puppy, it's all good news.
*Sigh* It's not easy having a good time...
Even smiling makes my face ache.

Thanks for the info on Albedo. I have a lot of catch up to do. Is Gallacci's art B&W airbrushed like the original volume? I seem to remember in subsequent volumes the Erma stories went to color, lost the airbrushing, etc. Just curious as to where it's at nowadays. I also noticed it is 40 pages. Is that all Erma story? Or are there other stories in the book, thus preserving it's original anthology package (in later years Steve went with longer Erma stories and shorter back-ups like Stan did with UY in volume 1).
I agree with you that it's tough to go back and read those great stories and have to wait years between issues. I admit that I've avoided later volumes of Albedo for that reason...it's too damn good to have to wait so long for...drove my half crazy

More Albedo Vol. 5 Nr.1 info
Greetings Oh Mighty Shogun Todd and all other readers,
Here is a little more detail than you probably want:
The cover looks like an oil painting.
Inside is very nice white paper and the art is pen and ink I think.
First inside page is a sketchy pinup of Erma.
Next page is Mr. Gallacci's intro "It was 20 years ago today..."
Then along come 24 pages of the pure good stuff moving the story along a bit.
Next is a page with "Prince of Fur" advertisement.
Followed by a page of "Yenny" advertisement.
3 pages of fun but trippy Erma Felna commenting on " fannish efforts".
Next a one page advertisement for the new Albedo Platynum Catalyst Role-Playing Game including a nice picture of Erma with a troop carrier and tank.
Next a one page advertisement for the Rabbit Valley Comic Shop.
4 pages follow with " The Albedo Print History" and Argent Small Arms (silver bullets), Model products ( a bit on his efforts with model building) "other comics" and civil war reenacting.
Next page is an advertisement for "Here Comes a Candle"
Next page is FENEC advertisement.
Last inside page has Conifur Northwest advertisement.
The front and back inside covers are Shanda generic information, new stuff and back issues.
Back cover has a pretty nice Shanda the Panda advertisement.
Not really an anthology.
Oh mighty Shogun I understand and share your frustration on waiting for more of the Erma Felna saga.
I know my local friendly comic book store is tired of me asking if they have any Albedo, let alone any new Albedo!
Art and thinking take time.
Different people produce art and think at different speeds.
We are fortunate to be alive and enjoy waiting for the goodies.
Remember when we waited forever for the last issue of Akira? Whoah!
I would really like to see Albedo reprinted into one volume.
I would also like to proofread for Mr. Gallacci. There are a couple of errors in this volume that detract from the quality of the work.
I hope this information helps influence you all to buy his comics so Mr. Gallacci will be encouraged to continue his wonderful work.
Best wishes to all!
