This is a b/w print that I hand-colored with watercolors. There was also a Usagi/Dragon print that was hand colored.

I never understood those are hand colored. I should have bought one when I had the chance. It's fun to learn of these behind the scenes factoids.Stan Sakai wrote:This is a b/w print that I hand-colored with watercolors. There was also a Usagi/Dragon print that was hand colored.

I was hoping this would go under the radar, but by now, I should know that's never gonna happen

Re: Beautiful UY Limited Edition Watercolor Print on eBay
Question for you guys.
Going by the description I'm wondering if the frame comes with it? If it does, and if you won this, would you have it shipped framed? Or ask the seller to remove it and roll it of shipping? Would you even want the frame & glass (or plexiglass)? I have a feeling shipping would be a lot more if it shipped framed.

Ask the seller via http://contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl ... ested=jrai.
The shipping cost listed at $18+ for standard mail and $26+ for priority makes it seem like the frame comes with it. But ask.
Good luck! Peace, maka

Hi Maka.
haha... I did just that right before posting my question here.
Now waiting for the seller's reply.
My big concern would be, if shipped while still in the frame, the possiblity of glass breakage (if there is glass), which could then easily cut the print.

I already asked the seller about shipping it having removed it from the frame. He said he would definitely consider doing that if the buyer requested it. I also gave him the precise dimensions of the print so he knows the area around the backer to "feel out" when taking it apart.

Re: Beautiful UY Limited Edition Watercolor Print on eBay
Considering that most rare Usagi items are going for a lot higher than usual, the print went for a lot less than I thought it would. I've watched some of the HC at auction, and they've been selling for higher than any 1 book I can remember in the last 3 years.

I think many people are not aware of the early prints, or how rare some of them are. This is one, like the Dragon print, is a variable case because the majority are b/w, and you might be happy with that. I bid on this, but didn't bid high enough, c'est la vie. I already have the b/w version of this, which will do me for now.
