Yes. But from the looks of the solicitation, the Mirage issues will still be reprinted in colour in this collection (it says FC which I presume means Full Colour).Otter wrote:Vol. 2 #1–#16 is the Mirage run, right?!

Re: Dark Horse Reprints
I'm hoping that the FC in the solicitation just refers to the cover gallery. While I realise the Mirage run was published in colour, I prefer Usagi in black and white (the occasional colour special notwithstanding, of course).
I'm quite excited about this release. Great to display on a bookshelf, and convenient for going back to old stories without going through bagged and boarded individual issues in storage boxes. I'm especially thankful it will be roughly the same size as the Fantagraphics collection.

The Mirage issues were printed in b/w in the original hardcovers, so you may be correct, the issues could still be in b/w here.

If I remember correctly, the color plates (?) for the Mirage issues were actually damaged by water years ago during a hurricane or something of the sort and are no longer useable.

Yeah, I think the FC reference is in regards to the Full Color cover gallery.
Maybe Stan could provide some more insight?

So, each volume will bring 3 tpbs (8-10, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-22, 23-25, 26-28), right?
Re: Dark Horse Reprints
How hard are these hardcovers going to be to get? I know I've never seen the HC releases of collected editions that have been released so far, and I'd hate to have gaps on the shelf for missing HC omnibuses.
But I would love to have a shelf full of hard-bound Usagi!

Re: Dark Horse Reprints
The press release said there are 900 HC editions. That's more than double # of recent HC signed editions. For example, Usagi Yojimbo Book 27: Town Called Hell, was limited to 350. If you have a local comic book store, ask them to order one for you. You probably will have a pretty good chance if you go through them.Otter wrote:How hard are these hardcovers going to be to get? I put in a request at my local comic shop (Fanfare) for the HC edition of UY Saga this past week, even though it is not yet listed through Diamond's Preview catalog yet. Same with UY: Senso......Maka wrote:The press release said there are 900 HC editions. That's more than double # of recent HC signed editions. Re: Dark Horse Reprints
I'm expecting everything that will be coming out since my local comic book shop knows to get me anything Usagi related...

Re: Dark Horse Reprints
My LCBS said that Diamond was allocating the latest Usagi HC (The Red Scorpion). I asked if that meant if I could still get one through his store. He said, yes. But if you don't trust your local store, Amazon may be a good back up plan. I tried 2 times to preorder with amazon.com to get usagi-HCs. When it came to the release date I got email "not available", very dissapointing...rs2 wrote:amazon have pleasantly surprised me with a couple of usagi hcs (failing that, ebay)Otter wrote:I put in a pre-order with amazon
