With the release of the Usagi Yojimbo Saga hardcover, I thought I'd revive this thread and update it with my latest info - but of course I'm not at home so I'll update my HC list later today.
But for now I'll add my copy of Usagi Yojimbo Saga Book 1 - #65
(maybe we could pin this discussion so it stays at the top of the board?)

It is the same image which leads off the story "Tihi obrok" or "A Quiet Meal" as it is more commonly known as.
This scan is from USAGI YOJIMBO: ZEC SAMURAJ Knjiga prva (book 1)
I don't have a decent photo of it, but it is a 11 X 17 b/w print (measurements in inches)
I actually bought this print from Stan this year. I don't know if he still has any left. It was signed in his old signature style. I was pumped when he told me he had it available. It's hanging on my wall now.
I do not have any of the hardcover books, as of yet.
That seems like a very expensive, but really cool, avenue of collecting for Usagi.
No one has mentioned any of the actual comic book issues, i.e. Albedo's or early Critters or the actual Usagi line that was started later. Is that mentioned elsewhere in another thread about which issues and, if graded, their gradings?
Still loving this webpage and exploring it.

I had never considered compiling a list of slabbed issues, sounds kind of neat. I know they have some kind of registry on the CGC web-site but I have never bothered to look anything up in it or checked to see what kind of information it actually tracks.
I think that since Usagi Yojimbo is such a "reader's" comic, most of us couldn't bear the thought of having our favorite stories sealed away where we can't access them.
I do own an actual graded and slabbed comic, a CGC graded 9.8 copy of Eric Powell's The Goon #32 Nashville 10th Anniversary Party Exclusive edition.
Even though I have the regular edition and the Dark Horse 100 Special edition of issue #32, I still get the urge to break the Nashville copy out of the case so that I can open it up and look at it.
(I really need to update this s/n book list sometime)

Most aren't too bad price wise, especially a lot of the more recent books. The ones that tend to go for the higher values are #4 Dragon Bellow Conspiracy (the first hardcover published, #1-3 were issued afterwards), #3 Wanderer's Road (for some reason, probably low print run), and #12 Grasscutter (low-ish print run and the Eisner award). Needless to say, Grasscutter was the last h/c I needed to get (at the time) for a full set. I've been buying the new h/c editions when they have come out since then.

I don't have any of my comics graded, not even the first print TMNT #1. Comics are for reading. It might be a bit different if I had an Action Comics #1, but I'd just have the thing well protected, rather than completely slabbed and graded so you couldn't ever touch it again without breaking open the sleeve.
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...
Ah, very good. I like your way of thinking. I am getting a few of the more sought after ones in slabbed/graded condition and also in non-slabbed graded copies (except for #2 Albedo--that one is too expensive for me to acquire two copies--heck even one copy is soooo much these days that I have not been able to get one yet).
But even still, there does not seem to be a list of non-graded/non-slabbed Usagi comics owned by members here, unless I am missing it?
What would be the most desirable Usagi comics in your opinions? I have an Albedo 3 & 4, graded and ungraded in each as well as Critters 1 and Usagi 1 and the First Summer Special. The Usagi 1 is graded but the other two are not.
I also bought and am having framed the Autumn Moon 151/200 and Kim Yung Gi's charity auction print 9/20.
Just picked up the 15th Birthday poster, signed, off of ebay yesterday for $40 bucks. I was the only bidder. I realize that they are not too rare but it has a wonderful signature and I really like it.
Still really want to find a "Banners" print but they seem very rare these days even though they had twice the number run as "Autumn Moon". I'll keep looking and see what pops up over the years.
The HC's are such a dangerous road for me to start out now. Thousands of dollars to get the whole set, even one can even find them all. I have bought/ordered Dark Horse Usagi Saga 1-4 but not the others. Once the tax return comes in, I'll have to see how much the lovely wife will allow me to play with!
Thanks All!
Buck
