Is there a release date for UY 19 tpb?

I thought I saw a note where Mr. Sakai discussed drawing the cover for the 19th collected edition, has it been solicited yet in Previews?

And I'm only missing Usagi Yojimbo Book #3, is that returning to print again soon? My local shop wasn't able to back order that book.

Love the series, can't wait for Art of Usagi book!! :D

UY Book 19: Fathers & Sons will not be solicited in Previews for quite a while. Regular bookstores require about a nine month advance solicitation, hence the reason the cover was painted almost immediately after Book 18 appeared on the racks.

I guess Book 3 just went out of print. Last I heard, a few months ago, Book 1 was the only one that had gone out of print, and that will be reprinted this month or next.

Amazon.com, or at least its little independant associates, usually carries the Fantagraphics books. Most of the ones in my collection were ordered online in this way.

I just did a search, and there are a few still-new copies of Book 3 available there (you'll want to click the 'used & new' link to get to the little independant stores). If you don't mind ordering online (and Amazon, of all places, should be pretty secure), it's worth a look.

Thanks for the information Mr. Sakai, I look forward to UY 19!

I generally read the comics once, then my two sons get those issues. Once the collected edition is printed, I get to read those books as often as I want (without having to raid my kids' comic boxes)!

And Avylin, thanks for Amazon.com tip, I will see if I can find #3 there.
