My copy of Saga #3 is with my comic shop and should hopefully be shipped early next week

Did it come from InStockTrades? I'd feel bad after recommending them.Usagi-chan wrote:I got my paperback in Tuesday. Very nice except the corners are a little damaged and there is a small tear.

Re: The Usagi Yojimbo Saga
I'd be surprised if it was from InStockTrades since it arrived in that condition. Everything I've ever received from IST has come extremely well packaged, with cushioning material to keep everything from sliding around, or really even moving at all. Amazon, on the other hand, usually just tosses the books in and one or two little pieces of air-pak, which doesn't really do much to keep the books from moving all around and banging up the corners. I got my Saga 3 yesterday from IST (along with BPRD HC vol 2) and everything arrived in perfect condition, as usual.Gaffey wrote:Did it come from InStockTrades? Re: The Usagi Yojimbo Saga
Saga hardcover volume 3 #653 arrived from TFAW.com last week. Shipping time and price was a little ridiculous from TFAW but I decided against Amazon this time around due to potential damage and it arriving a week later than direct market. I got lucky with Amazon on the first two volumes but didn't want to push my luck this time. Plus I was hoping for a lower number since I would be getting it a week earlier from TFAW as opposed to Amazon.
I think I will look at Instock Trades for all future purchases since so many of you on here have had good experiences with them. Plus those prices! Wow!

Re: The Usagi Yojimbo Saga
In the USA visiting my father and waiting for me at his place was a Saga #1 that Stan was kind enough to sell me. (In another thread Stan mentioned he was selling Artist Proof versions of #1 for $300 - well worth it for the HC with a sketch next to the signature page). Stan was incredible - it was only 3 or 4 days between answering my message, agreeing to sell the book, doing the sketch and mailing it out. The book needless to say is amazing. I already have #2 and #3. I plan to reread the entire Usagi Masterpiece. I just need to get a Soecial Edition HC as I don't want to pull out all my floppies.

Re: The Usagi Yojimbo Saga
Curious. I was looking at the Saga HC listings on the Dark Horse site. Saga 1 was limited to 900 copies, which sold out quickly, so following runs were increased. Sagas 2, 3, and 5 all have runs of 1500 copies, but for some reason Saga 4 is listed as limited to 900. I wonder if that's a typo, or if they are doing a smaller run for some odd reason.

Sigh...I wasn't going to buy Volume five. But I'm a nerd. So I relented.
Damn it! I don't have room for these damn books!!!!!

It is a typo as I got my copy of Saga 4 today and it says 243/1500jabba359 wrote:Curious. I was looking at the Saga HC listings on the Dark Horse site. Re: The Usagi Yojimbo Saga
Picked up my copy of Saga Book 5 today..... I'm not sure as to the number, and I'd like your opinions - 251 or 751?

Re: The Usagi Yojimbo Saga
What happened to the numbering on these? They used to be nice and clean in the earlier volumes.
I'd go with 251
I'd go with 251

Looks like 751 to me.maichan wrote:Picked up my copy of Saga Book 5 today..... I'm not sure as the the number, and I'd like your opinions - 251 or 751?
I just ordered my Saga 5 hardcover from instocktrades a couple minutes ago. They're running a 45% off sale this weekend, so I snagged mine for only $44 and tossed in another cheap book to get me to $50 for free shipping.
In other sale news, Barnes and Noble has a 30% off coupon for today only (30BFRIDAY) that brings the softcover Usagi Yojimbo Special Edition to only $34 shipped plus tax. I've been getting the softcover Sagas for my nephew, but may have to pick this up for him to fill in the pre-Saga stories.

Re: The Usagi Yojimbo Saga
It does look like a 7, but how many people drag their sevens? A lot of people drag twos.
Maybe you can ask your shop if they opened any. I would think the numbers would be close.

Have you ever purchased from them before? If they pack books like Amazon packs books I'll have to pass. I want to be the one to bend the cover.jabba359 wrote:In other sale news, Barnes and Noble has a 30% off coupon for today only (30BFRIDAY) that brings the softcover Usagi Yojimbo Special Edition to only $34 shipped plus tax.
