Weekly Trivia for October 12 - 18
Since I was not expecting to win the contest, this is a pretty rushed trivia question......
Usagi Yojimbo has been officially "translated" into a dozen or so languages by approximately twenty different publishers.
Please name the newest foreign publisher to begin translating and publishing the adventures of Usagi Yojimbo.....
Please limit guesses to one per day.
In case of multiple correct answers, all correct answers will be discarded and all prizes will be awarded to myself. (Just kidding!)

Re: Weekly Trivia for October 12 - 18
I must ask a question, since I realize it will influence my answer:
Is it the newest publisher to publish and translate Usagi into a NEW language (in which Usagi had never been translated before)?
I.E. Let's imagine a new foreign publisher A just started the reedition of Usagi books, which were previously published in the same language by a different publisher B.
But in a different language, Usagi books are published by an editor C. This publication by editor C is posterior to publisher B, but anterior to publisher A.
Would the answer be publisher A (since it's the newest publisher) or publisher C (since it's the newest language)?

I am Looking for the newest "PUBLISHER" who might or might not be publishing in a language which Usagi has been translated into before.
Please PM your answers to me (I forgot to mention that)

Two days into the contest and I have already received correct answers from both Eltanin and Trevis Woods.Maka wrote:This is a difficult question for anyone not named Steve Hubbell.![]()

Good job!

Here are a couple clues to help out.....
This publisher is not translating the Usagi stories into Polish, German, Spanish, or French......
Pound for pound, kilo for kilo, this publisher's Usagi books are the biggest Usagi books published outside of the USA.

No new answers have been received so I will post a couple more clues....
The publisher is not Crew, Bookglobe, or Vad Virágok.
This publisher is the third and most recent company to translate and publish Usagi Yojimbo into its country's language.

Final clue for those who did not send in answers.....

Re: Weekly Trivia for October 12 - 18
Since I am supposed to meet Stan Sakai at the stand of Renoir Comics in Lucca at the end of the month, it would have been a great shame if I didn't find the answer.
Does that mean I get to pick the trivia question for this week?
