But there is a change in numbering part way through. My pages are normally numbered from 1-132 and then the page numbering font greatly increases and starts at number 115 and goes through 142 and then reverts to the earlier page numbering font and starts back up at 161 and finishes at that font. Of note: The larger font numbering, although out of numerical order, corresponds to the Lone Goat and Kid story.
There is a similar change in the numbering for the 3 page Early Version of "Samurai" at the beginning of the book.
I had a reasonable flick through my copy when it arrived and didn't notice anything amiss, but stories such as these mean I'm going to get it out tonight and recheck to make sure!
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...

My only problem is it's so big I don't know where to keep it haha!!
Nice collection you have there! When the idea of a Gallery Edition was announced, Stan asked for input on what should be collected in the first book, as well as a potential second or third book. I certainly hope we get the other one or two books!
Very nice collection Kaimuki! I still need that Gen statue.
I would have no idea where to put that Gallery edition either which is part of the reason I haven't ordered it yet.
I see what looks like some Macho Man Randy Savage shades behind you. I don't follow it anymore but he was definitely one of my favorites growing up!
I received this in the mail today. Even having seen the pictures I was taken aback by how big it is in the flesh. It's a treat to be able to pore over the artwork on such a scale.
I have a question though for other owners, because I'm wondering if mine is the only one with this issue. Did anyone else have multiple pages stuck together at the top corner when they first pried it open? At first I thought it was just a case of some dog-eared pages catching on others, but it was getting to the point where every 5 or so normal pages would be separated by two stuck together. I've also had a couple where 3-4 pages were stuck together and after unsuccessfully opening one group (material from one of the pages tore off -- like when you don't quite tear off a glued label cleanly enough) I've decided not to mess with the other. It's only affected the top corners of the pages so I wonder if it's leaked glue or something from the binding process.
Or is it a feature of the gallery edition like the spilt coffee marks?
If it's that bad you should return it for a replacement. It's a $125.00 book! My first copy of the Fantagraphics Special Edition hardcover had pages stuck together that had to be separated with a razor. I decided to return it for a replacement. As long as you didn't buy it from eBay you should be able to do so.
This is one of those situations where the size works against you. It's all fun and games waiting for it to come in. Now I have to lug it around as part of the returns process

I finally got around to opening my copy and it has the same error. Maybe they are all like that.

Imagine how happy i was to open my sealed copy of the Usagi Yojimbo Gallery Edition.
This is one of the most amazing books i have ever seen.
Thanks to all of those who made this incredible book.
When i got to page 177 and 178 the page is missing.
Cut out from the book.
Is this true of all books or just mine?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best wishes to all.
