Usagi on sale at Instocktrades.com

Post by Trevis Woods »

InstockTrades.com has the 1st Gallery Edition for $68.75 and Volume 29 HC for $32.99 that is 45% off cover price!
I got them both yesterday with free shipping! I've been watching these prices for awhile and this is the lowest they have ever had them.
Everything I buy from them is packed to perfection and easily beats anybody else I've dealt with online.

I order almost all my comics through instocktrades and have only good things to say about them. They pack the books way better than Amazon, so shipping damage is never an issue. Sure, you have to spend $50 for free shipping, but that's easy for me. :D I get all my Saga HC books from them, so all I have to do is order one additional book of some sort and shipping is free.

If you don't want to order more than just the 200 Jizo HC, then there's a seller on eBay with a bunch for $30 + $5 shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Usagi-Yojimbo-T ... 1998632690

Thanks for the tip, I just ordered the Gallery edition!
I also ordered a bunch of other stuff so I don't pay the shipping for just one book. They have nice discounts on plenty of books.

Unfortunately the shipping costs to Europe are expensive...really. In January USPS raised the international prices (again), so that's why I didn't buy the Gallery edition from Instocktrades.
But if you buy more stuff, I believe it worth it (if you order just the GE, the shipping is more than the book itself...).
Nowadays I use Amazon UK, there are a lot of other sellers beside Amazon and the shipping is 4 GBP/book to the EU (even for oversized books), so my Gallery edition was 56 GBP with shipping :).

Yep, 72$ of shipping to europe for me.
But I bought 5 other books in addition to the gallery edition, so it's still worth it.
Also, I often receive damaged books from Amazon, so I try to avoid buying from there unless I can't find what I want somewhere else.

The same for me. Yeah, for more books, that's ok.
Hmm, I haven't had any bad experience with Amazon sellers yet, so I hope it doesn't change this time :)

How long does it usually take before they ship the books? I placed my order on tuesday evening (european time, so afternoon/late afternoon in the US) and it seems nothing has been shipped yet (I only received a notification of pre-shipment info sent to USPS).

It seems like they usually take 4-5 business days before they ship to me, but since I'm a domestic customer, I'm not sure if my shipping times are representative of the international orders. I don't recall if they send an email when it ships, but if you go to Your account>Order history and click on the order, it should show you where in the packing and shipping process your books are.

Probably the only thing negative I can say about them is that I did put in an order once for items that all showed as "in stock". When it still hadn't shipped after two weeks or so, I contacted them and they informed me that one of my books wasn't in stock and unavailable for them to order more in. I'd expect that in that situation, they should be the ones to contact me and let me know, but instead I had to ask about why my order hadn't shipped. Of course, they took care of the remainder of my order quickly after I contacted them and I don't let something minor like this one problem dissuade me from buying from them or recommending other people to them.

I've put in 18 orders over the last 2.5 years and only had that one issue, so you're probably good. The problem book was one that has been out of print for a while, so that's why they couldn't get anymore copies in.

And now they have 45% off all Dark Horse books, so a good time to pick up the Saga volumes or assorted DH Usagi trades.

Also some great prices on the Hellboy Library books. I own them all and they are gorgeous. High quality paper and hard covers, but with even larger pages than the Saga volumes.

I received my books (for information, after contacting the site, it appeared my package had actually been sent at the time of my last post here, but USPS was at fault for not scanning the package upon deposit. The tracking appeared online more than a week after Instocktrades shipped the books to me).

I've got to say it's the best packaging I ever saw. The books were perfectly safe and arrived in perfect condition (it's very important to me).
Instocktrades just became my new favorite website for ordering comic books. :)

I'm now on my way to read this gallery edition. :D

I have to agree with Eltanin, I have bought several books from the website and the packing is amazing. They often vacuum form packing foam to protect your books. Or they use an excessive amount of packing peanuts which is kind of annoying but gets the job done.
