Just wanted to say hi

Post by Stanleh »

I have only been reading usagi for a year or so after picking up the first saga in paperback. This then started my love for the series and I managed to pick up all the Sagas in HC bar volume one, I had made peace with never owning the full set.

When one day last week a package arrived at my door and as I opened it up I thought I recognised the cover for Saga 1 HC, and as I took off each layer of bubble wrap the excitement grew until at last I could see it in all its glory.

It turned out a friend of mine from America knew how much I loved the series and had found volume 1 hc and sent it to me as a gift.

All we hear on the news is how bad crime is and the violence that is happening. So it is with great happiness I can confirm that there are still great people in this world.

I just wanted to register and say Hi and how much Stans work means to me, and ask one question.
A friend told me that Space Usagi might be getting a reprint in a format much like the saga HCs, do you know if this is true as the Space Usagi HC is selling for quite a lot of money.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum! That was very cool of your friend to locate and send you a hardcover of Saga 1. Those are hard to find!

Regarding Space Usagi, here's what Stan had so say last year:
Stan Sakai wrote:The plan is to publish Space Usagi, Senso, and Yokai in an omnibus edition. It will not be called "Saga" though, because they are not part of the regular UY continuity.
The title "Legends" was chosen for this upcoming omnibus. Hopefully it'll maintain the same size and overall book design that the Sagas have been using.

But I imagine an addiction to collecting comics is a lot more fun than an addiction to heroin....

Comics shouldn't kill you, either. It's a different story if a bookcase full of graphic novels and hardcovers falls over on you, though.
