Free comic book day

Post by Gaffey »

What a bummer. I have a lot of comic shops around me and the one I chose to go to wasn't having any type of sales and they were already out of TMNT, DR Who, X-O Manowar, Secret Empire. etc.

Thanks for the offer, but that isn't necessary. I just read them and then give them away. Other than the Usagi from Spain FCBD comic (That's a keeper).

I still grabbed some comics like Wonder Woman, Buffy, Kaboom stories. Stuff I wouldn't usually read.

I picked up a copy of TMNT for Mayhem, as I assume he'll want one. Seems like the printer damaged all of them, as every copy (at the two stores I visited) had a weird indented line down the middle-left side, with varying degrees of rubbing damage as well. I tried to find the least bad one.

Besides that, both stores had plenty of comics. I got a TMNT, Rick and Morty, and signed Spectrum from one store. From the other, I got the Boom! Studios comic (with a short Mouse Guard story), X-O Manowar, and The Incal.

I'm going in soon, which is super late. But I ask the owner to put aside a copy of Fresh Off The Boat for me. So I'll at least get that one. :). Peace, maka

Edit: my lcbs only got 2 copies of Fresh off the boat. I didn't get one. :(

I forgot that Alex Saviuk was at one of the shops during FCBD, so I got my first TMNT Hero Initiative signature.

I worked with Alex lettering the Spider-Man Sunday newspaper strips that he pencilled.
