Usagi exhibit at IDW Gallery

Post by Stan Sakai »

If you checked out my professional FB page you would have seen that Kevin Eastman dropped by to pick up some artwork. He will be curating an Usagi exhibit at the IDW Gallery next to IDW Publishing in San Diego. The show will run mid-April to mid-May. I will be doing a signing there, hopefully, the first Friday in May, after our return from Japan.

Fantastic! I'll have to try to make it down there to check out the gallery. With any luck, I'll make it the day you're doing the signing, but that'll depend on my work schedule.

Southern California UYD road trip! :). I would love to take a mini getaway / weekend break to see some original art, Stan, and any dojoers. Let's make it happen when we get more details. Great news! Peace, maka

Sounds like fun! I'm not sure if I'll get to make it (that Friday is supposed to be the last day of a big project I may be working on), but hopefully the stars will align and I can join the pilgrimage.

That is better for me because May is jam-packed. But June 2nd is a Friday. Hmmmm. I'm not sure I can take the day off. I'll have to figure that out.

Peace, maka

Hmmmmm. The map says it's 222 miles from my home and will take ~4 hours to get there. But that is not including Friday evening LA traffic. If I go, I'll probably leave SB around 12. Kyle are you going? Michael? Grusagi? Spam? Anyone else? If so, do you gents want to share a meal before the signing? Peace, maka

That's not that bad. I once drove two days to meet Stan. Although, I can't even imagine what LA traffic is like. You never hear anything good about it.

It should be way more relaxed than what I imagine SDCC to be. Have fun!

Two days is impressive!

Four hours isn't bad. I listen to audiobooks when I drive so even if I hit traffic, I tell myself, "I get to finish more of this book!" :). And I will stop to visit my parents in LA on the way back. So it will be a good weekend.

Peace, maka

Well, I was driving my mother to see old friends. After dropping her off I continued on towards Dayton. :P

Maka,

Definitely planning on attending. Trying to convince Groo and Jabba to do a road trip. A meal sounds great. Lunch at Lucha Libre Tacos?
