My shop has done it both ways. Keep in mind that Free Comic Book Day isn't free for retailers. They do pay (a reduced rate than normal comics) for the amount of FCBD comics they order. I always feel like I want to support my LCBS because if I (and enough others) buy my comics on-line, they will go out of business. I've enjoyed my conversations and community at the LCBS for 26 years now. They aren't perfect but who is.jabba359 wrote:My local shop stamped the books this year. Anyways, having a stamp on this Usagi comic makes it seem more legit to me.

Ah, the text in the white box on Spam's photo is pre-printed on the comic and says, more or less "promotional item, selling prohibited". The stamp we're referring to is one that would have been applied by the comic book shop itself, usually listing the name and address of the store and would be right in the middle of the white box, as in the case of my local shop (bottom):Maka wrote:Yes.
