Any idea how the first Kevin cover (#5) is going to be available? As a Retailer Incentive, or something else?

So "your" exclusive will be available through the online store then Stan?
(and from your comment, you hope to have the softcover version available at San Diego?)

Yes, I hope to have the softcover version of my variant for Comic-con.Mayhem wrote:So "your" exclusive will be available through the online store then Stan?(and from your comment, you hope to have the softcover version available at San Diego?)

I have heard differing stories about Kevin's variants. The first I heard was that one would be a retailer incentive, another a SD Con variant, and the wraparound cover for his fan club. The latest I heard was that the first two are retailer incentives but no word about the wraparound.

Will he be putting up any new art before the con or do I need to ask Kyle to take Preview Night pics?Stan Sakai wrote:Daniel will have most of the items on the StanSakai website after the con. There are a few things we are contractually prohibited from selling.

Wowsers!Stan Sakai wrote: Add another variant cover to the list. I will be doing a Sakai Exclusive variant both in regular and HC. They will both have the same image, and it will, hopefully, also be a pin-up in the regular HC edition. I will not have the Sakai HC variant at San Diego, though.

So that puts it at 11 variants?
(please correct me if I'm wrong)
1 - Stan Sakai for the regular edition
2 - Stan Sakai for the HC edition
3 - Sakai Exclusive variant regular edition
4 - Sakai Exclusive variant HC edition
5 - David Petersen
6 - Sergio Aragones
7 - Kevin Eastman
8 - Kevin Eastman fan club edition (wraparound cover)
9 - Kevin Eastman San Diego Con Exclusive
10 - Books-a-Million variant (by me)
11 - Other Realms variant (by me)
I know my local comic book store has the regular edition and HC as well as a couple of the variants on order for me. I'll have to get back with them and see about getting at least one of each for the first 7. I may wait to see if the Sakai Exclusive variant both in regular and HC will be available on the StanSakai website as signed copies.
So, I'm not familiar with Books-a-Million.... I assume this is them? BOOKSAMILLION.COM - I'm sure someone here will let us know when the BAM variant becomes available (hopefully we can get it online).
And I assume and hope that we can get the Other Realms variant online whenever it become available.

Someone has been to the San Diego art gallery today and snapped this, so I'm guessing these are both the non-wrap covers for the crossover done by Kevin

They are Kevin's designs and pencils, but I inked Usagi on all three covers (including the wraparound). Kevin went back and Eastman-ized them to match his inking of the rest of the art. I think they turned out great.Mayhem wrote:Someone has been to the San Diego art gallery today and snapped this, so I'm guessing these are both the non-wrap covers for the crossover done by Kevin

So there will be two different hardcover versions? Have we seen the artwork for both versions yet? Sorry but with all these versions I'm getting a little confused and I'm trying to figure out what I want to buy.

My understanding is that there will be two HC versions--the regular one of Usagi fighting Leo with the castle in the background and my Sakai variant which is the same cover art as the Sakai variant softcover comic.OnitsukaTiger wrote:So there will be two different hardcover versions? I believe that all the art for the variants will be reprinted in the HC editions. There is a possibility that one of the Eastman variants may not be included.

Here are some close up pics of the upcoming Eastman Usagi/TMNT Crossover Covers that were at IDW. Also here is some pics of the incredible 4 page splash page that Sensei drew for the book!
