I also edited my post a bit, as there's some ambiguity surrounding the Eastman covers #7 and #9.

The link for the Diamond retailer promos showed #9 as the freebie for the Diamond lunch. The wraparound cover shown at the SDAG is the Eastman fan club version, which leaves the one where Usagi and the turtles are flying through the air as the SDCC exclusive.

First, another question.... is the Diamond Lunch then considered #7, or does that bring the count up to 12 total, and we haven't seen #7 yet?

I think your guess is the most correct based on what we know. The final, colored cover is the Diamond SDCC exclusive (#7), though the link doesn't specify if the pictured Diamond lunch cover is exclusively for them, or if the lunch attendees are merely getting free copies of the SDCC exclusive that will be available to purchase from IDW by anyone at SDCC. It seems the Diamond lunch has gotten exclusive covers in the past, so Mayhem is likely correct and it's specifically for them.

The wraparound preview is the Eastman Fan Club exclusive (#8). The cover preview you have for #9 is for either a SDCC IDW exclusive, or a retailer incentive/sub cover, or something else.

Spam, Grusagi, and I did get a brief look the latest proof (as of June 2) of this book in digital form in Stan's studio, thanks to Stan scrolling through it on his computer. It was pretty fast (we didn't read it) but art is amazing! The coloring stood out to me. It really complements the art. I don't often think of Usagi in color but this was done very nicely. I think we got to see a picture of Sergio's cover but I can't remember the details. I didn't take any pictures of any of this.

It's been a while since we have a had a new Usagi story and I'm hungry for it. Thanks for providing the links to purchase the variant covers as you discover them. The completist in me wants them all and I asked my comic book store to pull from the list all that they can for me. We'll see. It's all fun fort his Usagi fan.

Rich is missing one cover though, the Stan Sakai HC edition. So if correct, I guess that actually makes for 12 books in total, with 11 cover variations? 10 soft covers and 2 HCs, but one HC has the same cover as a SC
