SDCC Shopping List
Okay, I've received a couple inquiries into picking up some items for Dojo members at SDCC this year, so I thought that must mean it's time to open it up. If you want me to pick up anything from SDCC, shoot me a PM and I'll do my best to get you the stuff. Of course, it doesn't necessarily need to be Usagi related items.
I will caution everyone that there might be some very hard to get items this year (Usagi Mondo poster and Playmates con exclusive Usagi figure come to mind), but I'll do my best to get what I can. That said, if I'm unable to get enough for everyone that asks, it'll be on a first come first serve basis (if I only get 3 figures, for example, but have 5 people that asked, the first 3 that requested the item will be the ones to get them). So that serves as incentive to get in your requests sooner rather than later. To help spread the love, if someone requests multiples of an item and I'm unable to get enough to fulfill the demand, I'll fulfill one per person first before fulfilling any seconds or thirds.
You can always add or subtract to your list, as I'll be updating it frequently up until the convention starts. All I ask is that if you request an item and then decide you don't want it, please let me know to remove it from my shopping list by July 18th, as I'll start buying stuff the 19th. You can always add things on during the convention (I'll check in here daily), but keep in mind that the later you ask, the greater chance you run of the item being sold out or me not having time to track it down.
I know that some items don't have pricing details until fairly late, so if you request something that doesn't have a price, please make a note of how much you're willing to pay (ex: I want an enamel Hellboy pin as long as it's $20 or less). Once the convention starts, I'll check in daily to see if there are any last minute add ons.
As a note, I never mark up prices on anything I pick up. You pay exactly what I pay, as I'm not in it to make money. Here's a bulleted list of what I'd like information-wise in the PMs:
1. Item you want (and quality if you want multiples)
2. If the price is unknown, the amount you're willing to pay
3. If you want the item signed or unsigned (if you want it personalized, who it should be made out to)
Whew! Okay. I think that covers it. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Re: SDCC Shopping List
Thanks Jabba. I'll send you a PM...
Any thoughts, or rough ideas on what we might expect some of these to cost? I don't want to say $40 max on something and then miss it because it was $45.... I know I could just say $100 on everything...
Especially wondering about these (estimated price range for them):
TMNT/Usagi IDW Convention exclusive comic book ($?)
Mondo print of cover from Senso #4 ($?) I think you said elsewhere these are generally $50 to $75?
TMNT/Usagi cover art print ($?) Also, do we know which covers?
TMNT/Usagi Sakai Signature variant softcover ($?)
TMNT/Usagi San Diego Comic Art Gallery variant ($?)
IDW Giveaway poster ($0) Any idea what this will be?

Re: SDCC Shopping List
First of all, thank you for your offer!
I hope you've got a small shopping trolley, otherwise your hands, arms & back might hurt like hell...
I further hope that you can be bothered with international shipment; just in case a few more Europeans ask for goodies, if forwarding each shipment individually would be too much for you, I could offer distributing for Europe... just to make it easier for you...

Re: SDCC Shopping List
Would you mind taking pics or video of Stan's art portfolio on Preview Night before all of the goodies are gone? I know that's a big ask when you'll be running around trying to get the limited stuff for others.
Sergio's would be cool. I've never seen him draw the turtles before. Do the new turtles eat pizza or is this a throwback?TMNT/Usagi cover art print ($?) Also, do we know which covers?

Re: SDCC Shopping List
Cheers as always Kyle. I've got the Hell Screen h/c covered by my comic shop here so I won't be after that. Any of the usual freebies or prints that are available via Stan or Dark Horse or IDW as normal please. The Mondo Usagi print if possible. Usagi sketchbook if one is available.
I'd be interested in any of the other incentive Usagi/TMNT variants available, if Stan or IDW/Dark Horse has them: San Diego Art Gallery, IDW SDCC exclusive, Diamond Lunch (I can hope), and of course Stan's own version. I've got the regular three on order from my comic store, the Other Realms and Fried Pie on mail order, and the Eastman fan club obviously has a separate thread for people
Past Usagi, then anything new Mouse Guard wise, such as 2017 sketchbook. I may ask you for another toned commission, but we can discuss that via PM and forward money for it in advance

I think I sent a PM... it's in my outbox anyway.

Re: SDCC Shopping List
I've gotten a lot of requests for the Usagi figure and Mondo poster. Those seem quite popular. Once work slows down for me this weekend, I'll get around to replying to all the PMs.

Re: SDCC Shopping List
My list is simply a "wish" list. If not available, or too difficult to obtain, then no worries. I can live without them!
The only must have is the Sketchbook.
I'll update my PM later today.

Re: SDCC Shopping List
OOPs... I forgot to PM you my update. I'll try to get it to you ASAP. I've been checking the SDCC website to see who's attending. Now either I'm blind or looking in the wrong places, or the SDCC site isn't up to date, but I can't find Stan listed anywhere...... at least not as a guest or in Artist Alley.....maichan wrote:My list is simply a "wish" list. I am not a Special Guest this year, and I'm not set up in Artist Alley. I have a corner booth--#4906.maichan wrote:Now either I'm blind or looking in the wrong places, or the SDCC site isn't up to date, but I can't find Stan listed anywhere...... at least not as a guest or in Artist Alley.....![]()

Re: SDCC Shopping List
Thanks Stan! That helps. I won't be attending, but I wanted to make it easier for those that will.... I guess I was partly blind, as I went back and found you (didn't see your name before, for some reason). You are listed under Exhibitors as the first entry under "S"Stan Sakai wrote:I am not a Special Guest this year, and I'm not set up in Artist Alley. Re: SDCC Shopping List
Yep, I'm pretty certain that's Stan's usual booth. Mike Mignola's usually right around the corner in 4901 if I recall correctly, but won't be attending this year. He's probably busy with pre-production on the new Hellboy movie.
