Not Usagi related, but close. I'm looking for a book that was published in Canada. I have contacted around 30 comic stores up there with no luck. It can't be backordered according to Scholastic Canada. I've seen them on eBay, but I'm trying to get a Like New or New Copy.
I own the first and third books and finding this one has been difficult. I tried Abebooks and let's just say I was taken advantage of by a Bookjacker. I had no idea what a Bookjacker was until using Abebooks. NEVER AGAIN!! Anyway, Indigo books, which I assume is a B&M store says that they have them in stock at the store, but not online. Are there any Canadians here on the board?
FYI - Jeff Smith's Boneville website does not sell these and can not order them.

So, what is a bookjacker?
I have ordered through abebooks numerous times and beyond the occasional poor service transaction (which happens with amazon marketplace sellers and on ebay as well) never ran into anything that could be called a bookjacking....
Speaking of amazon, the Canadian site has a new copy of your book for sale, unfortunately it is priced at $112 in Canadian currency.
edit - a lot of Ebay and Amazon marketplace sellers are also on abebooks.....
Bookjackers are people that don't actually have stock on hand, but have some sort of computer program that searches for books (new and rare) and if they can find it online they will post it for sale on their site at a higher price than the listed price that the actual seller has it listed. Once it is purchased from the bookjacker then they immediately try to purchase it from the actual owner making a profit without really doing anything. It's not illegal, just kind of scummy, considering they don't have it on hand. It would be like me selling an Usagi figure for 3 times Walmart price and then going to Walmart only to find out that it has been sold. Then when you ask me where the figure is I tell you it must be lost in the mail and I keep searching for the figure stringing you along hoping to make that profit.
Anyway, the book you referred to in Canada, that actually ships from Florida, will not provide a picture of the book and is on a list of bookjackers. The company I purchased from at 3 times retail is also listed as a bookjacker. Guess what, they gladly took my money, but no book has arrived. They would not provide me with a photo of the book, the shipping method or a tracking number. Just that it is lost in the mail. They don't have a terrible star rating, but I should have know something was up when I couldn't get an actual photo of the book sent to me. I don't even care that I paid 3 times retail. I just want the book in NEW condition as agreed upon. If I don't get a reply after the holiday next week then I'll have to start the refund process. It's just frustrating.
