Maka wrote:Oh oh. I searched my email but can't find any confirmation from Other Realms regarding an order for one comic. I probably put my regular email instead of my paypal email. I've resubmitted the form and asked if they have one more copy for me. Hopefully, but I also bought the poster of that cover from Stan's website. That's even better because it is visible all the time vs. a comic that I keep in a box. Ha! Peace, maka
Have you checked your PayPal or bank account to see if you've been charged?

I placed my order over the phone, and that was right when the book was announced, so at least several months ago. My credit card shows it was charged towards the very end of July, and I received the comics sometime last week (don't recall what day though). So there was quite some delay from when I ordered and when I was actually charged for them.

If I remember rightly here, if you placed your order online, Other Realms sent you an email with a Paypal invoice to the address you gave them through the website. It was then up to you to physically go and pay the invoice, the money wasn't taken automatically. At least that's how it happened for me.

Sorry, the "They're Heeere" was a quote from some old movie*. That was my attempt at being funny. I pictured everyone browsing eBay and when they came across the auction they would put their hands on the screen and say, "They're Heeere!"

If I were to sell anything, it would be offered here first.

EDIT - * Poltergeist

They did charge my paypal account $19 but then canceled it. I don't know why (it says "Canceled - request received"). I will give them a call. Thanks for thinking of checking my paypal.

I'm sorry if this has be covered already, but do we know when exactly the retail release of the hardcover is?

That's hard to say. TFAW.com shows Aug 23, but it doesn't show up on the IDW list that was published today (http://www.comiclist.com/index.php/list ... #more35496).

Amazon and Book Depository show Sept. 19. Amazon generally get theirs 2 weeks after the comic shops, so it's possible they'll arrive in comic stores Sept. 5. I think the September date(s) seem more likely than this week.

It doesn't help that even IDW lists the release date as July, which obviously didn't happen. It's been quite the confusing release for the hardcover.

Thanks guys! My order went through today and they charged me $15 for the comic and $7 for shipping an increase of $3. While I could have saved some money by taking you up on your offer, I figure your time is worth more than saving ~$3 for myself. And I'm supporting a business that is supporting Stan, so it's all good. I get my comic I wanted and I'm lucky enough to be able to afford it, so I'm happy. But thank you for being so cool! Peace, maka

Yeah I was surprised also, but then again its not been thaaat long since the comic version came out. Some hcs for other comics take a lot longer to come out.
