I don't mind doing these elaborate drawings for friends at these small, local shows and craft fairs because there are usually not a lot of people there and I have more time.
However I can't do them at comic conventions because if I do it for one person a lot of others will want the same. So I do charge for them at comic cons, especially at San Diego. I do head or torso sketches of Usagi for a donation (currently, it is for The Hero Initiative), and anything more is considered a commission.

Thanks for clarifying Stan. That makes perfect sense. Thanks for all the sketches you have done for all us fans throughout the years. They are special gifts for us. Peace, Maka

Hear, hear! Being here in Ohio, I've been very lucky to have met Stan several times over the past two decades, most recently this past fall in Columbus OH. Very grateful for the time that he spends away from home travelling back east to meet us. And, I'm always thankful and amazed by his sketches in our Usagi hardcovers and trades!
Here's a piece that was recently on Heritage Auctions. It was won by Krash01, and when he read that I was interested in getting a copy for myself, he offered his new acquisition to me. Thank you Krash! I should also mention that Krash never even got to see the print in person... since he lives in Europe, he had his winnings from Heritage Auctions sent to Eltanin in the USA. Eltanin would then forward the items to Krash and myself. So I'd also like to say thank you to Eltanin for taking care of the packing and shipping to me.
Looks awesome, I'm glad that I could help (also, thanks Eltanin for helping us out with the shipping).
Soon, I'll update my gallery too with the other art, that I purchased from HA .
