I figure they must have done a second production run based on the SDCC version of the figure (obviously not the packaging). I'm curious as to how big the run might've been.

Might be we see more popping back up in the wild. :)

Hey Otter,

Do you live in Canada? According to an auction on eBay, the black eyebrow figure can be found on the international card. I wonder how many different variations are out there?

You are bidding on a TMNT Usagi Yojimbo figure. The figure is in a NEW unopened package (no major flaws to speak of only very minor shelf wear). **This figure is on a hard to find international card**

if you notice, the figure is distributed by spin master which is a toy distributor based in canada. it seems they are distribution partners with playmates and distribute tmnt figures in canada.

So there are at least 3 versions of this figure. The two Otter posted and the international one on eBay. The one on eBay says THE LE EL SAMURAI.

I came across this commercial while trying to find the difference between the two figures. It's old, but it was new to me.

EDIT: I POSTED THE VIDEO TO SHOW THAT THE BLACK EYEBROW WAS AVAILABLE WAY BACK IN JULY SO MAYBE THAT WAS THE ORIGINAL VERSION.

I'm in Australia. I didn't notice any other logos on the card, but I'll be sure to take a look.

Update: Just checked and couldn't find a Spin Master logo, nor the "The El Le Samurai" seen on the other international card.

Just received a black eyebrow " figure that I purchased from a seller in Kentucky not in an international package. So maybe this is yet another version??? I also saw a listing a few days ago for the big 12" figure in completely different international packaging.
I'm curious why the different paint designs with the eyebrow variation. I prefer the black eyebrow version now that I have seen them side by side. I think it adds more life or character to his face.

Some of the black eyebrow versions have been turning up at Ross (the clothing outlet store).

So cool to have an Usagi figure. I'm looking for one with the right design.

This topic isn't dead yet!

Check the clearance aisles of your local Walmarts!

This morning I found the large Usagi action figure at one store near me!
