Incredible Con Variant - where to buy?
The Incredible Con is going on right now, and I was wondering how to get my hands on the exclusive variant. I'm hoping not eBay only.

Re: Incredible Con Variant - where to buy?
Nashville Comic Con posted on their Facebook page last month, and also answered an inquiry from Maichan (the forum member that's been doing the investigating into how to get a copy) last week, that this variant would be available through their Kickstarter. The Facebook post says (I've condensed it to get to the point faster):
They told Maichan they had the campaign submitted to Kickstarter for approval and hope to launch it in the next week, which should be any day now.And now I want to answer a few repeat questions we've been getting about the show.
Shows cost a lot of money. How are you going to afford this?
Well, we managed to pay the rent for the venue with some comic book garage sales and we'll do more as needed. But we've also got a fun Kickstarter planned to help us bring in additional guests. No, we are not a big corporation but we are great with working within a budget to avoid any show issues.
We were going to roll out a Kickstarter this week but we have some Comic Creator friends on there currently doing awesome things and wanted to wait for a better moment to "hop in" without hurting the momentum they have going.
Are you guys trying to raise like 50,000 bucks?
No. We are going to try and raise 10,000 total to help cover the cost of flights and hotels for some more guests. We'll be selling our Exclusive Usagi Yojimbo #1 and also be offering one day tickets for only $10. (The combo will be $20).

Re: Incredible Con Variant - where to buy?
Did anyone go to Incredible Con?
Has anyone seen any news or reports from Incredible Con?
No sign of a Nashville Con Kickstarter yet.
But I did a little searching, and found there was a Kickstarter for Incredible Con, and it was created by Mike Federali. You can see he's created a few other campaigns for other conventions: https://www.kickstarter.com/profile/mik ... li/created
Will we ever see our missing variant?

I just sent them another message on FB asking if there is any news (ETA) on the Kickstarter, or if there is another way for us to get the variant cover.

Well, I received a reply....

I wonder, does it really take so long for campaigns to get approved, or is something else going on...Hi Michael,
We’re thrilled that you guys are excited but we haven’t gotten the green light from Kickstarter. Soon as that happens we’ll make an announcement

I played around with kickstarter once, just trying to figure out how setting one up worked. It was up and running in less than 10 minutes. Actually took longer to shut it back down.maichan wrote:Well, I received a reply....

Re: Incredible Con Variant - where to buy?
I've had several acquaintances run campaigns. From what I've seen, approvals shouldn't take more than a week or two. Certainly not as long as it's taking these guys, who posted they "were going to roll out a Kickstarter this week" a month and a half ago (postponed, apparently, to not interfere with campaigns of "some Comic Creator friends").
Should this exclusive now be called the "Not Incredible Con" cover?

Maybe they are trying to do something that KS may not explicitly allow? Who can say. Fingers crossed it goes live in the near future.
