Has Bunraku and Other Stories been released ?
Is it available in hard back?

Not yet. It was scheduled to be released on April 22nd before the shutdown happened.

Your best bet would be to check IDW's website this week.

Is it available in hard back?
It will be - 750 copies

I'd assume he's going to get his comps before Diamond Comics starts back up. Pure speculation on my part. Considering he's adding a free sketch to all purchases for the next week or so I'd think they'd sell like hotcakes!

IDW has continued to list releases every week.

I think the Bunraku TPB was originally scheduled for April 22 (according to my notes; but if you check the IDW page though, it just says April 2020), then rescheduled for May 13 (on Previews World), and now seems to be rescheduled again for June 3 (Previews World).

Comixology has the digital version of the book on sale too.

It was still only available for pre-order late last night.

So who here is going to order it directly from IDW?

I think I’m going to wait and hope that my lcbs opens in the later part of May. I still don’t have issue #9 (well, I bought a digital copy on comiXology) yet. And Usagi is the only comic in my pull list. And it’s not like I don’t have the story reprinted here.

Peace, maka

I'm waiting for the hardcover. Either through Stan or IST.

I have a TPB copy coming from Barnes & Noble since Amazon still had it listed as out of stock. Of course I'll buy the copy my LCS gets in for me as well, as well as the hardcover edition when ever it eventually comes out.

I have a copy ordered through my LCS, so I'll wait until they get it in (and I can get it from them). Fortunately, I already have all the single issues, so waiting isn't a big deal for me.

Hardcover through my LCS as usual.

I'm in no rush.
Since I already have the single issues, and since I want to continue supporting my not-so-local comic book shop, I will wait for Diamond to resume shipping orders. I look forward to being able to visit the comic shop again (even though this shop is a bit 'out of the way' for me).
I'll be getting both the soft and hard covers.

I'm staying outside of the city right now, but got a confirmation yesterday from Amazon that the Bunraku SC was delivered to my NYC apartment.
