The REAL Usagi Yojimbo?

Post by Blambot »

This samurai helm is at the Metropolitan Museum of art in New York City. I had to take this picture when I saw it!

Don't eat the white rabbit candy if it's not fresh-- the stale stuff will have your fillings. The fresh soft ones are quite nice.

I know that there's the legendary moon-rabbit, and there's the calendrical rabbit. It could be that the previous owner of this particular melon-protector used a rabbit on his flag, and liked rabbits in general. Also, I know I'D be distracted fighting him with those creepy little eyes staring at me-- it might just be he wanted to screw with the head of any opponent ("He doesn't look so tough. Thrust! Why a rabbit, though? Dodge! What kind of freak has a rabbit.... Parry! ...On his kabuto? I've never heard of anyone else... ah, crap, there goes my arm.")

that's so cool.
Life goes on
Same old song
It's not what you get
It's what you make of it
Don't be rushed, take your time
Soon they'll see, we all gonna shine

Indeed, that is cool. And yes, those eyes would creep me out if I were fighting the guy wearing the helmet. Perhaps we'll see Usagi in a battle helmet with a creepy human head on top of it.

Very cool!
I was just there in October, as part of a vacation, and saw that very same thing!
I too, took a picture of it, thinking instantly of Usagi.
:D

There were a lot of great things on display there at the Met. The equestrian displays were great fun for me.
