I started another giveaway on Facebook. If you don't frequent FB and you'd like to enter just post your favorite Usagi Comic Cover in this thread and I'll enter you.

What is your favorite Usagi COMIC COVER? PICTURE REQUIRED! COMIC COVERS only (Albedo, Critters, Usagi Yojimbo, UY/TMNT, etc.). No hardcovers, trades, magazines, etc. Once you’ve posted your picture you’ll be entered into the giveaway.

Prizes:

Option 1 - A copy of Albedo 3 signed & sketched by Steven A Gallacci! Probably a mid grade if that matters to you.
or
Option 2 - IDW Games TMNT Stan Sakai Pack (Kickstarter exclusive)

One answer per account. Contest will end Tuesday, July 13th at 11:59PM EST (Embrace Your Geekness Day) . The winner will be chosen using random(.)org

I plan on running giveaways through November and in December I'll give away another slabbed copy of Albedo 3 to cap off the year of Dojo Anniversary Giveaways!

I think probably the few of us here already have an Albedo 3. I saw in your other post that you bought a few more copies!

Before the dojo broke, Kyle was asking the a.similiar question. Should we alternate between the Dojo and FB? Should we try to draw people to the dojo with a contest on the dojo but promote it on FB?

I think today, FB is the way to go. It has become the default way to reach the biggest audience (maybe Instagram too for newer fans but they are the same company). When we did the charity giveaway, we went with FB. Steve has done such a great job building that audience up.

But I hope we can start to build the dojo boards back up, one post at a time. How do we get old members to reconnect? Maybe Todd can send out an UYD email to all the old members with the new link?

Back on topic: thanks again for being so generous with your money and time to do these dojo contests on FB. They do engage people and I know the winners are thrilled!

I agree. The eight of us here probably have Albedo 3 already, so let the 4000 have fun with it on FB.

But if you do an Albedo 2, this is the place to do it.


Facebook and Instagram are where it's at these days (who knows what will be 'the thing' in the next 1-3-5 years). I use them, but I am still old school and enjoy the more stable atmosphere of the dojoboard. Do we need to bring people to the Dojoboard? To be honest, I say if they find us, great, but no need to advertise us, at least in my opinion.

I actually get annoyed with Facebook and the way people use it. I can not count the times that people ask the same questions over and over, but I am impressed by those members that will take the time to answer the same question repeatedly. Anyhow, I digress... back to the topic... I agree with what Maka said...

I was half kidding. I really want to do the Match the Mon contest here on the board, but it's a bummer when you don't get a lot of participants. I used to love coming up with the "Find the..." games.

But if you do an Albedo 2, this is the place to do it.
