Another trivia question with prize...

Post by Steve Hubbell »

During the past 20 years, Usagi has met a wide range of characters.. some of them even of the female persuasion

Starting with Mariko, quite a few of these female characters have demonstrated some affection for the "Long Eared" ronin.

I am seeking a list of these various affectionate females and the (brief) details of their relationship with Usagi.

The prize for the best list submitted by February 28, 2005 will be a choice of either the autographed Usagi Yojimbo 15th anniversary Poster or the limited edition set of 9 Usagi Yojimbo trading cards (with autographed card) from Comic Images.

All answers must be sent to me by PM (personal message) at the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo.

That would be great...

The amount of viewings for the posts seems fairly low considering the number of members in the Dojo...

I've posted the trivia questions here and also sent them out through the Usagi Yojimbo Mailing List at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/usagiyojimbo/

The amount of viewings for the posts seems fairly low considering the number of members in the Dojo...

...And there does seem to be a bit less response than what I had been expecting.

I actually been debating posting this one on the Dark Horse Comics Forum http://www.darkhorse.com/boards/index.php, the omic Book Resources Forum http://forums.comicbookresources.com/, and the Comicon.com Panel http://www.comicon.com/panels/ to try and reach a few more Usagi Yojimbo fans.

Could you send this again to me? I have a killer spam blocker at earthlink, and anything with hotmail.com was auto-blocked-- and I saw that something was auto-dumped with that address re: a U.Y. contest-- and I am guessing it had to do with this-- though there is no way I can enter, I am not that smart--

Sorry! :(

The question in the email is the same as the one here on the DojoBoard, so you don't worry about not getting the email. That's more for people who do not frequent the DojoBoard. Also, the email list is so huge I can't send out emails to individuals without sending to the entire list. In any event, you're good to go!

And the winner is...

Here's my list:

Mariko - Usagi's childhood love and mother of his child.
Tomoe Ame - Definitely has feelings for Usagi but is unsure of how to act on them.
Daughter of Jiro the Silk Worker - She didn't have a name or have any lines, but the hearts in her thought balloons showed she was clearly smitten with Usagi.
Obaasan - Wanted Usagi to be the son she wished she'd had.
Kitsune - Seems to like Usagi in a flirtatious way, but not anything serious.
Chizu - Is definitely attracted to Usagi, most likely because of how he treats the Neko ninja with respect.
Kimie - Smitten with the romance of being the wife of a Ronin; those dreams were quickly and brutally squashed.
Princess Kinuko - The only other female that Usagi has professed to love and had his love returned. Star-crossed lovers in a tough position.

That's all. Abayo!
- Scott
Congradulations, great list with a couple interesting characters I hadn't thought of. Now Scott has to choose the autographed poster or the limited edition card set as his preferred prize. :D

Abayo...

The disapointing thing is, Scott would have won if he had sent in just a single name since he was the only person, Dojo member or other, to send in any type of a response. :?
