Internationally celebrated storyteller Stan Sakai continues his tales of samurai adventure in Usagi Yojimbo! This issue begins a multipart story with the discovery of gold in a mountain range. Issue # 82 was originally scheduled for a late February release. Also originally scheduled for a late February release was Volume #4 of Samurai Executioner (which is now scheduled for April 13, 2005, the same release date as Volume #5).

What's going on over at our Faverite comic company? Everyone knows Stan Sakai never misses a deadline, and the fact that more than one title has been post-poned makes me wonder if I should worry.

You can blame Frank Miller. Dark Horse has had to get all six Sin City trades out in time for the movie release. I know Editor Diana has been extremely overworked--so overworked in fact, that she's been too busy to yell at me that I'm way behind schedule. I suspect that the multiple issues in March (if that is the case) is an attempt to play catch-up. At least, that is one of the reasons for DH running behind.

UY Book 19: Fathers & Sons was also affected the the rescheduling. I'm not sure when it will actually be released, but I'm still waiting for the tip-in page so I can sign them for the hard cover.
