OK, are we talking about the first issue released (#0) of Albedo Anthropomorphics by Thoughts and Images? No, I personally don't have the first issue published in the series.

Or are we are talking about issue #1 which contained a story featuring Nilson Groundthumper and Hermy that was written and drawn by Stan Sakai (his first sale to Albedo Anthropomorphics)? Yes, I have a copy.

I guess we could be talking about issue #2 which contained the first appearence of Stan Sakai's creation Usagi Yojimbo, published aproximately twenty-one years ago. Yes, I have a copy of this one also.

Early this year or late last year, we tried to find out just how many of the 2000 issues printed of Albedo Anthropomorphic #2 from Thoughts and Images could be accounted for. There were a LOT left unaccountable.

( Wow, It has been over a year since we tried do that? )

I'd imagine that an independent b/w anthropomorphic anthology comic with a small print run would have a high mortality rate back in 1984 / 1985. Who knows how many of those 2000 issues even survived long enough to see the b/w comic explosion caused by the TMNTs becoming popular...

Anyways, back to the question...
I have copies of Albedo Anthropomorphics #1 - #5, but I don't have #0

Abayo...

I've got a complete set of Albedo, with the exception of #2. :(

Fantastic book, with an epic lead story (Erma Felna) and varying quality for the rest of the backup stories.

I believe Albedo #1 was Stan's first published work?

I bought a copy of #1 from Galacci at the San Diego Con a few years back and brought it by the Usagi booth to have it signed. Stan saw the book, smiled and said "Oh, you found one!" He then drew a nice sketch in the borders of his story.

The book is still being published today, now by Shanda Fantasy Arts.
