Thoughts on the new Gen figure
Of course he isn't perfect. He doesn't look too much like Gen and his bio is disturbingly unfaithful to the character (by the way, how does he only weigh 140 lbs??). I do have to say that the figure's special ability intrigues me, though. At the push of the button, all of his limbs unlock, attached only by a thin cable, causing Gen to tumble to the ground and giving the impression that he has been slaughtered. It's a disturbingly life-like affect. Naturally though, I'm bothered by the idea that Gen's special ability is the ability to be killed, so I use this function a bit differently. I keep his joints in the unlocked mode and try to stand him up. This gives a very life-like impression of a Gen that's had too much Saki (and perhaps left Usagi with the bill?). Much more authentically Gen.

I've been scanning the online stores for the Usagi figure, and haven't had much luck finding shops with reasonable TMNT selections. My best advice right now is ebay, but I'll keep you posted if I see anything else. Next time I'm at Target, I'll pick up an extra if they have one. If you get one before then, I'm sure someone else will need one.
Incidentally, any ideas on the availability of the Usagi figure? I've had no luck.
