All my packages have finally arrived. No more books for a while.

Canto and Black Hammer are so good! I'm hoping Earth One Volume Three lives up to the awesomeness of the first two.

I'm hoping to get a signed copy from Stan and Julie. Not as easy to get things signed over here on the East Coast.

If you need a copy of 20 let me know. I got one from a comic store in Maine and one from IDW.

Thanks Gaffey,

I bought one from IDW website before they sold out. I'm just waiting to see if my LCBS will be able to get their shorted copies from Diamond. I promised David I would send him a copy if I got mine.

I appreciate the offer but I'm good.

Peace, maka

Gaffey wrote: Sun Jun 27, 2021 16:13 -0700 I bought Berserk book 1 when it first came out and had no idea it was "reversed." I had the hardest time trying to read it and ended up trading it in to my LCS for the Immortal Hulk volume 1 hardcover.
I'm use to reading manga from right to left.
I've never heard of Carthago Adventures. I don't read much from Humanoids.

There are three books published in English - Carthago, Carthago Adventures, and Carthago Origins. I'm not sure how good the stories are, but I'm a fan of this "European" style of art.

Here's a review of the previous book, Carthago - http://www.multiversitycomics.com/reviews/carthago/

Here are my pulls for this week:

And a couple more Berserk books arrived. Thankfully all the Berserk books were discounted. :P

I wasn't expecting these until next week. They must have known we have a tropical storm coming and wanted me to have them ASAP.

I bought a couple extra to give away, but after seeing how different they are I might have to keep two! :P

This week's mail call includes the following:

1) A Kabuki cover by Mike Mignola.
2) The final issue of Sergio Aragones' Mighty Magnor.
3) An APPLESEED TPB from my want list.

Latest IST haul plus I picked up another UY 20 for a future giveaway.

Middlewest is great!

I really enjoyed the first 3 Bandettes. I've also read Witcher and Colder by Tobin which were also pretty good.

Ice Cream Man is hit or miss and I can't stop buying them.

All the Dynamite James Bond hardcovers have been quick, fun reads.

I read the Goddamned so long ago I can't even remember what happened! :(

I enjoyed the first 12 issues of Firepower. I'm probably going to continue to collect the floppies monthly now that the first story arch didn't disappoint.

I was tempted to buy Godzilla: Half Century War when it came out. James Stokoe seems like quite a talent. But fortunately, someone else bought it by the time I came back again. The local library has it digitally, so I may check it out there. Let me know if you end up liking it.

I heard Bandette was great but there is only so much time to read. I also saw Skottie signing his Middlewest collection on IG. But again, if I am serious about downsizing my collection, I have to stop buying more than I sell.

Peace, maka

Will do! I plan on reading it today. Too hot for yard work. I don't like reading digitally so I'm always stuck buying stuff if my library doesn't carry it.

Oh man, I wish I knew about the signed copies. I would have preferred that! I upgraded from the tpbs.

I'm a Godzilla fan, but I've only picked up one of the Godzilla titles, (Idon'trecall what issue, but it takes plCe in ancient Japan).

Middlewest looked interesting and I was tempted to buy it, but... like Maka, i need to downsize, or at least not buy every book I see.

Yay! New Mouse Guard!!

Here's what I picked up yesterday:
