FIXME Final design?

Yes, there is a new UY action figure, but this time, he actually looks like Usagi! That's because Stan "Sensei" Sakai himself designed it. He also designed the backing card, as well as the Spot figure. And no, it will not be a part of the Warrior Nun toyline.

FIXME Update needed from now on

UYD-Daimyo Glenn Masuda brings news from Gary's CBS and directly from the proprietor, Nishimura-san, who quotes Sakai-sensei! He reports three items, all having to do with the UY action figures:

First (and this confirms what we had already suspected) the UY action figure will be delayed till October of this year (1998).

Second, there will be a Dark Horse Comics variant of the action figure! Usagi will be dressed in black! This item is a "dealer only" option, and will only be sold to dealers per every 15 action figures they order!! What a concept (To make more money that is.....)

Third, (and this is only a very early rumor, but one that you will appreciate) contrary to what is listed on the Independent Toy Newswire webpage, Gennosuke is not the front runner for the next action figure! Stan is hinting that he is pushing for...........yes, Tomoe Ame! With a small Lord Noriyuki companion figure!!

Usagi Yojimbo Action Figure
